In this session, the new governance structures will be explored, including the best practices in light of the Enron and World Com settlements with board members and Sarbanes-Oxley as it could apply to nonprofit organizations. The goal of these new governance models is to protect the organization from outsider challenges and to protect the management, board members and others from personal liability. An outline will be provided for a corporate governance compliance plan and the steps to develop a governance model for nonprofit hospitals.
