Does your Critical Access Hospital (CAH) measure up to the Gold Standard? This presentation will be an overview of the "Critical Access Hospital Gold Standard Performance Summary" report issued by LarsonAllen during 2005. The report includes highlights on the financial and operational performance of 750 CAHs across the nation. In particular the presentation will compare and contrast the top performing 35 CAHs identified in the study as "Gold Standard Performers" to industry medians and will also focus on the top performers selected in various revenue size categories.
During this session our speakers will overview the multiple financial and operational indicators of some of the most successful CAHs in the nation such as profitability, cash and net asset position, utilization, staffing, cost performance, overall pricing, revenue and cost relationships, and non-Medicare discount rates. In addition to the ratios, you will hear key insights from interview sessions conducted with some of the CEOs of the 35 Gold Standard Performers that addressed such topics as:
